A white blend from Heathcote. Named for the winemaker Mario Marson’s mother, Grazia, this is a blend of Pinot bianco and italian varieties (from Friuli) – Friulano, Malvasia d’Istria and Picolit. The perfume is like walking through a summer meadow – grassy, golden and heady. Hay, apricot, lemon rind, honeysuckle, peach and a little struck match flintiness on the nose. Dry, clean and generous into the plate, with some savoury notes to temper the succulence. Some phenolic tang as the acidity keeps the flavours moving and layers unfolding. The finish is excellent, with an astringent bite and long, textural persistence. 94pts
