A young new release from Terra Sancta on Felton Road in Bannockburn. One level above their Mysterious Diggings range, and one down from a wine that won the Pinot Noir Top 10 Tasting with the Jackson’s Block 2018 > https://winefolio.co.nz/?p=3862. This is their ‘Estate’ wine.
A light ruby colour in the glass, with light, bright and pretty aromatics. Some classic Bannockburn cherry, plum and rosemary perfume, with a little smoky spice, flowering thyme and rosehip. A nice note of negroni bitterness on the palate, with sloe berries and raspberry coming through. Silky tannins are long and ripe with a tingle of saline acidity keeping the flavours moving along. Into a dry finish that is long and spiced. 90pts
