A wine from Central Otago – made by Matt Connell from the 4 hectare vineyard block on Penkridge Farm, between the Pisa Range and Lake Dunstan. A pale, copper-green in the glass, with bright and aromatic notes of nashi pear, peach, lime, apple, honey and jasmine florals on the nose. Just off-dry on the palate, with plenty of lush fruit sweetness balanced by a crisp acidity. Youthful, energetic and juicy, with a clean, mouth-watering line through to a rich and long finish. 92pts
