Brown Brothers Moscato 2021

Brown Brothers Moscato 2021

Moscato is the Italian name for Muscat Blanc – one of the oldest wine grapes in the world. This version is from Victoria, Australia – and the ‘fruity’ range of wines from Brown Brothers; with a low alcohol of 5.5% ABV. A very pale straw colour, with a light frizzante froth on the tongue, though not visible in the glass. Peach, pear, lychee, mandarin, cucumber and lime on the nose, with floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom. Light bodied, with a good balance of juicy, sweet fruit flavours and a racy acidity that gives the palate a mouth-watering freshness. A subtle note of roast almond, minerally wet-stone and amber adds a little complexity to what is a fairly straightforward wine. A clean, drier finish. 89pts
