From Yarra Valley fruit, this young Nebbiolo is a stunning magenta-garnet in the glass. Flush with perfumes both savoury and sweet – black cherry, thyme, cranberry, blueberry, sumac and rose petals. Showcasing this winemakers preference for 100% whole bunch – this does have exquisite, firm tannins, but there’s an overall silkiness and lightness of touch. The fruit has a lovely crunch, and there’s a stalkiness that adds green notes of nettle, jalapeno and herbs. The tannins persist, held up with a bright acidity and that delicacy through the palate. White pepper and rosehip syrup linger in the tremendously long finish. 95pts.
