From their excellent Hawke’s Bay vineyard ‘The Limeworks’. Pale lemon-green in the glass, with a vitality and exhuberance on the nose – flush with aromas of nectarine, cashew, grapefruit, yellow apple and a spicy warmth of vanilla and cardamom. Bright, intense, with a balance of fresh acidity and ripe fruit. Some green notes of nettle and crushed herbs then more citrus and stonefruit across the palate, seasoned gently with toasty, smoky oak. A creamy texture folds into the back of the palate, carrying to a lengthy, mineral-flecked finish. 91pts.
