From a cooler vintage in Bannockburn. Hand-picked fruit was whole bunch pressed. The natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts was stopped by chilling to balance the high natural acidity with residual sweetness of 69g/L, resulting in the low alcohol of 9.0%. Screw-cap closure. Medium gold in colour. Jasmine, honeysuckle and caramelised sugar aromas. As expected given the residual sugar there is up-front sweetness with medium palate weight, but with lovely acidity to cut through and balance. Pineapple and rock melon flavours with hint of baking spice. Drinking very well now in a primary style. 95pts.
