A low-intervention winemaking style of Riesling using organic fruit from the Nelson region. A bright lemon-green colour in the glass. Delicately aromatic – this is no blockbuster – with lime, green apple, satsuma, pot pourri, straw and jasmine florals. The palate has good concentration of tropical fruit flavours, but with a fresh edge of grapefruit and yuzu. A line of phenolic minerality emerges deeper into the weighty palate, adding a more serious, stony edge that contrasts well with the lush juice. Preserved lemon and jalapeno add savoury interest and prickle. Finishes fresh, dry and medium length. 90pts
