A Marlborough expression of this varietal from Northern Spain. A richness and depth on the nose – pineapple, melon and white peach, as well as few flavours familiar to drinkers of (other) Marlborough whites – some grapefruit, blackcurrant and cut grass. On the palate there is still a generosity, but now joined with a crushed-shell minerality, a bite of citrus and crushed herbs underlined by a saline acidity. The finish is clean and zesty with pronounced length. 93pts
