From one of the oldest vineyards in Tasmania, overlooking historic Marion Bay. A bright ruby-purple colour in the glass. An immediate note of smoky oak on the nose, alongside black cherry, dried herbs, bramble, baking spice and liquorice. Bold and concentrated, but slightly reductive on the palate. The ripeness heads towards sweetness – rich and lush. Tannin and acidity jostle each other around and through that succulent middle, coming together and emerging into a harmonic and lengthy finish. 92pts
