A wine grown on red cambrian soils in the family organic vineyard, Heathcote, Victoria by this small family business and regional pioneer. A zesty aroma of lime, chamomile, passionfruit, green apple, lemon curd and chamomile, with just a hint of kerosene developing underneath. A toothsome palate, very dry and driven by a steely minerality. Some tight, firm phenolics, but plenty of concentration and power coming through with bergamot, nectarine and mandarin flavours blooming as the wine opens up. A little softer and rounder than some Aussie rieslings, the finish has real length and depth, and some spice. 91pts
