A Yarra Valley wine, from a young label, making their first wines in ’19 – the limited edition (one of 600) Pinot Noir introduced to me at a Regional Tasting of Yarra wines. A lighter carmine red in the glass, with delicately lively perfume. The interplay of raspberry, redcurrant, cherry, orange peel and spice also takes on a savoury earthiness and zips with a buddleia floral note. That perfume takes centre stage, with the palate starting off tight and crisp. Raspy and popping with fruit, it is a refreshingly modern expression that could probably take a chill well whilst in its youth. More spice – anise, cinnamon and cardamom sidle into view towards the finish that is precise and shows good persistence. 92pts
