Brown Brothers Sparkling Moscato Rosé 2021
At just 7% alc/vol this light spritzy is a lovely summer sparkler. Delicately aromatic, with strawberry, rosehip, watermelon and redcurrant flavours, that float from the glass, but follow through to the palate. A smoky, toasted spice note adds depth and character. A soft mousse of bubbles and a tang of acidity merge on the tongue, fresh and lively. A cracking lunch wine that takes a good chill and still delivers plenty of personality. 88pts
Brown Brothers’ Prosecco Rosé
The grapes for this wine are grown in Brown Brothers’ Banksdale vineyard in the cool climate of the King Valley in Victoria, Australia. A blushing rose-gold colour with aromas of juicy strawberry, watermelon, and pear. Punchy acidity, with just a light campari-esque nibble of bitters and sour cherry, which elevates it above just a basic glass of bubbles. Having said that, it is a smashing and smashable wine – great as an aperitif. A busy rush of flavours, and a simple easy-going roundness to the finish. 87pts
