From the Santa Maria Valley in California. A vibrant depth of golden-green colour in the glass, with a heady nose of smoky vanilla, roast cashew, nectarine, butterscotch, pear, quince and meyer lemon. Weighty – full bodied, bold and big boned. Good concentration and power, with acidity moderate and the fruit right upfront on the palate. Tropical, ripe and unctuous. Not subtle… but it has some complexity; with a little stoney minerality and a lovely texture that envelops the back of the palate wonderfully – creamy and caramelled. Long, sweet finish. 94pts.
