A wine from the Omaka Valley in Marlborough – winner of the Champion Chardonnay Trophy at the National Wine Awards of Aotearoa New Zealand 2024. A pale straw colour in the glass. Excellent varietal typicity, elegance and intensity in the bouquet, showing peach, grapefruit, apple and lemon with cashew nut and baking spices. A degree of complexity in the palate, where oak is the dominant feature, but there’s also fruit tannin, bright acidity and mouth-filling texture vying for attention. The finish brings those elements together in harmony and shows good length. 93pts
