Winning both the ‘Other Whites’ Champion Trophy at the National Wine Awards Aotearoa, and a Gold medal at NZIWS last year – this is a rare example of the italian grape varietal. A slightly orange-tinged gold in the glass. Scented with pear, lemon, apple and quince, there is also a touch of cardamom and almond to the nose. Medium-bodied and with generous fruit to the fore, the palate balances acidity and texture, whilst staying dry and crisp. The finish is harmonious and has some depth and length to it. Well worthy of those awards. 93pts
