Selected parcels produce a top tier wine from this producer, bottled in small quantities. A pale steely green colour in the glass. A power-packed bouquet balances green notes of crushed herbs, cucumber and capsicum, with blackcurrant and more tropical flavours of passionfruit, honeydew melon and lemon verbena. Plenty of zesty acidity kicks off the palate, with a salinity that has a crushed shell minerality backing it up. There is some weight and a rounded generosity, with concentration and plush fruit through to a dry finish that shows good persistence and harmony. 92pts
