Made by Duncan Savage, using a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, often with smaller amounts of other whites from the Western Cape in South Africa – the blend of this vintage, unknown. Translucent lime-yellow in the glass, with an intriguing perfume. There is grapefruit, ginger, peach, dried pineapple, apricot and lime, but also a funky, marmite, green olive and rock pool note that draws your attention. Very tense and energy-packed on entry, with a brisk, saline acidity taking charge. A steely minerality skirts the edges, with the palate settling and deepening. Green herbal flavours flit across and the freshness persists – the finish is very lengthy and has a dry crispness to it. A super expression of this classic style, with bags of personality. 94pts
Savage White 2023

Hi David,
I’ve really enjoyed Duncan’s reds, they are restrained but fresh, do you think this white blend will age?
Cheers John
John. Yes, an excellent all-round producer. I expect this to age very well indeed.
