A wine from the Moutere sub-region of Nelson/Tasman. A golden glow in the glass, with aromas that follow that signature. Ripe flavours of peach, quince, lemon curd, nougat, vanilla and butterscotch. Good concentration and richness in the palate that is buoyed by a briney acidity, cutting through the voluptuous fruit and carrying a direct linearity. A touch of tannin shows craft in the winery, adding character and texture amongst multiple layers of interest. The finish is very long, with a satisfying, dry harmony to it. 94pts
