A Sauvignon blanc from Nelson – the Appleby, Clover Road and Twin Rivers vineyards on the Waimea Plains. A pale, steely lemon-green colour in the glass. A very bright and aromatic bouquet, led by lime and grapefruit, with a swag of blackcurrant, passionfruit, apple-mint, pea pod and pineapple. Medium-bodied, with a central focus of juicy flavour, backed by a crisp, saline acidity. Some minerality comes through mid-palate, with a whisper of tannin and texture adding polish and character. Finished dry, long and mouth-watering. 92pts
