From an organic/biodynamic vineyard in Pewsey Vale, Eden Valley. A bright straw colour in the glass. The perfume is bold, with a distinctive oatmeal note over ripe stonefruit, citrus and apple at first, followed by more effusive notes of quince, melon and hazelnut on the nose. Medium-bodied, generous and vibrant into the palate, where that ripe fruit takes centre stage. A piquant acidity gives good line and focus, with a bold support of toasty oak. Fruit is the main star here though, and the emerging spice and pithy texture serves to heighten the intensity and depth of that golden juice. 92pts
