Crossing Point Rosé 2024

Crossing Point Rosé 2024

Crossing Point is a label from Takapoto Estate, based on the banks of Lake Karapiro, in Waikato. Made from 72% Merlot and a balance of Cabernet Franc, it is a pale salmon pink colour in the glass. For rosé, this has a fairly complex perfume, with cranberry, mandarin, white peach and raspberry fruit notes, melded to green herbs, ginger, incense smoke and even some rose floral elements. The palate shows ripe fruit, lit with a zesty acidity and a fullness that carries a nibble of sweetness to round it out. Well-balanced, with a creamy, persistent finish. Another good vintage from a wine that was no.2 in the last WineFolio Top 10 Tasting (of rosé). 92pts
