An entry-level wine from a top producer, using fruit from some outstanding stony-soil vineyard sites such as Reiterpfad and Kieselberg. A pale straw colour in the glass. Fresh and vibrant scents of lime, mandarin, apple, honey, white pepper and lemon blossom. A tiny spritz on the tongue, highlighting a stony minerality that runs through the palate. Lush, fleshy fruit give a medium-bodied feel through the middle, with a touch of sweetness lingering. Fine acidity keeps the wheels turning and heads into a very long, clean finish. 92pts
