From the Wairau Valley in Marlborough, winning Gold in the New Zealand International Wine Show in 2024. A bright lemon-green in the glass. The bouquet is a little shy, with crisp grapefruit, green herbs, apple, nettle, lemon peel and jasmine florals. Ripe and juicy with a hint of sherbert-like icing sugar giving a lift, but the palate is very crisp and measured. A seam of minerality adds spine and precision to what seems a plush, medium-dry style. The finish is generous and has good length. 91pts
