Made from a rare grape variety, Terret Bourret, in Pays d’Herault – the Languedoc region of France. A pale straw/green colour. The perfume is fresh, crisp and inviting, with notes of meadow grass, green herbs, lemon peel, pear, almond and white peach. Light-bodied and led by a crystalline acidity, the palate sits up with a fruity juiciness. A light touch of peppery spice and fruit tannin and there is a crushed-shell minerality, all of which adds more depth. A great white wine to start off an evening – as an alternative to bubbles or rosé, or as a lighter lunch option this works very well indeed. 89pts
