A sister wine to the excellent single vineyard Pinot Noir by this producer (https://winefolio.co.nz/?p=8372). This expression is a blend of different vineyards, and has a fresher, youthful edge to it. The colour is ruby-burgundy in the glass, and the aromas of sour cherry, blood orange, toffee apple, cassis and damson are enticing and vivacious. In a lighter, simpler style, with minimal extraction, and a tight crunchy core of red fruits, lifted by a racy acid line. A fine tannin profile is peppery and persistent through the palate. Finishes dry and with good length. 89pts
