A wine from Waiheke Island, a colaboration between winemakers Heinrich Storm and Michael Wood. A pale straw colour in the glass with a generous riff of nectarine, lemon, hazelnut, red apple, grapefruit and crushed stone. Both concentrated and elegant, it sits somewhere between old-school and modern in its style – unctuous, yet taut and electric. Acidity is key – quite saline and brisk, and texture comes a close second, with a greek yoghurt tang and creaminess. A mouth-watering and dry, steely finish. 94pts
