The first release of this wine since 2018 – back from the Swamp! And a winner of another Gold Medal at NZIWS this year (it has won over 20 Gold Medals in its history). Sourced from a single vineyard in Dillons Point – in Marlborough’s lower Wairau Valley. A translucent lemon-green in the glass, with abundant aromas bursting from the bottle. Lots of green – nettle, grapefruit, greengage and lime zest but also melon, blackcurrant, lemongrass and passionfruit. Puncuated with a bright acidity – carrying the fruit flavours in a direct line through the palate. Spicy and herbal, with jalapeno and juniper notes jostling for attention and filled with a riotous energy, dancing across your tastebuds. 93pts
