From their Cairnmuir Rd vineyard in Bannockburn, Central Otago. A silver-green-lemon colour in the glass, with a delicate, minimal nose gradually revealing cashew, lemon peel, white peach, and muesli aromas. Much more generous into the palate where ripe apple, nectarine, pear and fig flavours swell and flood the tastebuds. A well-balanced structure, based on a crisp acidity, but the time on lees has shone an extra light on a stony minerality (that crops up in whites from the region). A gentle baking spice element leads into a silky texture, and on to a finish that is long and dry. 93pts
