A Gimblett Gravels wine, sealed under cork. The ’21 is a blend of 51% Merlot , 27% Cabernet sauvignon and 21% Cabernet Franc. Elegantly aromatic, with the typicity of a fine Bordeaux red. Dried herb and subtle savoury elements complement the juicy blackberry, plum and cassis fruit notes, alongside a floral top note of lavender and violets. The palate shows a fair grip of tannin – chewy and primal – forming the spine, with balanced acidity and a frame of slatey, oak char. A chalky minerality fliess in layers along with spice, herbs and chocolate sweetness – quite complex and characterful. Good persistence on the finish 95pts
