An inky purple-black in the glass. A boisterous perfume filled with damson, red plum, cherry, blood orange, blackcurrant and hints of mint and sumac spice. The palate shows a sinewy grip of tannin, a distinctive metallic note and a moderate acidity. The juicy flavours ebb and flow – quite bloody and with some savoury black olive and salted liquorice. Finishes well – dry and with good length – woven with more herbal flavours. 92pts
