A new rosé from Hawke’s Bay label Trinity Hill – in collaboration with artist Emma Bass. Made from Syrah, Tempranillo and Touriga Nacional, it has that perfect tinge of coral pink colour that reminds me of cottage garden old roses. An elegant softness to the perfume of spiced plum, red liquorice, strawberry and lilac florals. Fresher and lively on the palate, the red berry flavours come alive on a wave of acidity. There’s still that sense of clarity and calmness though – with a soft and understated finesse to it. Enough creamy, yoghurt-like texture to add interest without tripping up the style and heading into cloying territory. Finishes dry and tangy. 90pts
