A single vineyard wine from Bendigo, fermented in older French oak barrels. A glowing pale gold in the glass, with fresh and spicy aromatics, so typical of the varietal. Honeysuckle and rose petal floral notes sit above cardamom, then golden peach, satsuma and dried pineapple. The spice continues into the palate – white pepper and ginger and a zesty acidity combine and contrast with the ripe, citrus and stone fruit sweetness. Mouth-filling, waxy and unctuous but with a dry and clean finish. 92pts
