From selected vineyards in Marlborough, comes this fragrant Sauvignon Blanc – fresh and aromatic on opening the bottle – the perfume is quite powerful. Showing passionfruit, grapefruit, blackcurrant, feijoa, lime zest and granny smith apple on the nose. The palate is lighter than the bold fragrance suggests, with juicy and ripe fruit. A crunchy, saline acidity give plenty of drive, and at the end you may note a touch of savoury fennel bulb, sorrel and pea pod. The finish is lengthy, dry and well balanced. Classic flavours and good value. Gold medal at the NZIWS this year. 92pts
