A wine from Margaret River – not the easiest thing to find, but please try – this is very worth the effort. Pink grapefruit, lime curd, sage, sweetcorn, almond and wonderful floral fragrance – honeysuckle and lemon blossom. Immense depth of concentration and intensity of ripe peach and tropical fruit flavour with pithy pure acidity that cuts straight through. Coiled and intense, with impressive tight muscularity. After this taut, vibrant palate, you do settle back a little, into a mealy, glossy, texture that has a little mineral and fruit tannin grip. The finish has great persistence and a dry, more-ish quality. I would cross town to go somewhere and drink this wine. 97pts
