A pale gold in the glass, with a briney nose filled with aromas of mandarin, fennel, candy apple, dried hay, pea pod, grapefruit peel and flowering rosemary. Dry, with a pithy fruit tannin and a firm acidity. Tight and youthful showing a subtle power through the medium to full bodied palate. Apricot, peach skin, sliced pear, fresh almond and white pepper in layers of complexity with a lightly bitter, pleasant astringency. The finish has a lovely saline oyster-shell minerality to it, and is drying, long and satisfying. 92pts
