A single vineyard wine from Bendigo in Central Otago. A vibrant pale gold in the glass. The bouquet presents lime, nectarine, fennel, lemongrass and grapefruit with warmer notes of ginger, cardamom and five spice. Amongst the complex layers, there’s also a tease of apple pie and honeysuckle – a lot going on. Medium-dry in style, with a palate that has ripe sweetness synchronised with a pulse of saline, flinty acidity – the two elements in tandem. Mouthwatering and energetic, driving to a finish with great persistence. 93pts
