From the Elms vineyard (Block 2) and the Calvert in Bannockburn. A lemon-green/straw colour in the glass, with a wonderfully aromatic nose. Showing golden peach, apricot, lime marmalade, quince, almond, elderflower, and a whiff of kerosene. Oily and unctuous, the crisp acidity cuts through the ripeness and keeps the flavours dancing into the palate. Orange rind, baked pear, salted caramel, dried mango, and a smoky peatiness to the mineral notes that hide underneath the plush fruit. Opulent, mouth-filling and with a viscous, umami texture. Finished soooo long, with a lovely drying edge to the end. 95pts.
