Trophy-winning dessert wine at the Royal Easter Show Wine Awards in 2021. A rose and butterscotch colour in the glass, with vibrant aromas of honey, golden peach, cherry, lemon thyme, mandarin and elderflower. Filled with fruit sugars, obviously, but balanced with a bright acidity and enough ripe zesty fruit to prevent a sickly sweetness.
A bitter, salty, brown-butteriness adds a layer of complexity and the core is carried by a ripeness that coats the tongue with vibrant fruits in dried apricot, quince and lime marmalade. Pine needle and caramel at the finish, which is long and harmonic. 92pts.
