Coming from the family estate ‘Caythorpe’ vineyard in central Wairau, the excellent 2020 vintage has produced a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of nectarine, pine leaves, cut grass and capsicum, with a fresh elderflower lift. The palate is pure but intense, zesty with passionfruit, grilled pineapple, lemon peel, and green apple flavours.
Crisp acidity and a great foil to heaps of summer food – we had a salad with barbequed prawns and it was a juicy and delicious wine choice. 90pts.
