Starting out with a flinty, struck-match minerality and then bursting out hints of lemon zest and fuzzy peach on the nose. Dry, medium bodied palate with more of the saline, quartz-like spark; and moving into ripe fruits of white cherry and nectarine – then a piquancy of pink grapefruit.
Juicy acidity drives the wine along and towards the back of the palate comes some warming oak spiciness and a nibble of shortbread and crème caramel. Lovely long finish – lush and more some. 92pts.
