My first tasting of the new vintage of the wine that won the Trophy for Best Sauvignon Blanc at the NZ Wine Awards last year – beating all Marlborough versions.
Bright and herbaceous on the nose, with blackcurrant, green capsicum and pineapple on the nose, with a definite waft of hay and dried herb. Medium bodied, showing good, vibrant acidity and a bundle of tropical fruit, lime, pink apple and tomato leaf flavours on the zesty palate. Nice depth and length, with a fresh mouthwatering finish. 90pts.
