A wine from the Waihopai Valley in Marlborough. Winning a Gold medal at the London Wine Competition in 2026. Presenting a straw-green colour in the glass. The perfume is shaded with a warm toast and vanilla spice of oak, underpinning the peach, lemon, grapefruit and apple aromas. A hot, dry vintage shows in the palate, where a ripe ‘heat’ of alcohol sticks out slightly. There is lovely crisp acidity and plenty of juicy fruit flavour, famed by that spice and nutty accent of barrel. The finish is softer and has reasonable length. 89pts
