One of a range of excellent aromatic wines made by this family-owned and run Marlborough producer. This one comes from across the region – 53% from the Awatere Valley, 27% from the Southern Valleys, and the remaining 20% from the Kēkerengū Coast. A pale silvery-green colour in the glass. The aromas are beautifully varietal – with classic pear, ginger, peach, honey and nutmeg on the nose. The palate is generous and medium-bodied, with texture and a light phenolic rasp both a feature – going beyond just ripeness of fruit to show a delightful cross-regional expression of the grape. Well made and well balanced; a lovely food-friendly white with a spicy, pithy finish. 92pts
