A wine made from fruit grown on the excellent Two Terraces vineyard in Hawke’s Bay. Amy Farnsworth utilises clay amphora in her winemaking and her wines are organic, grown with biodynamic principles plus there is no fining, filtering or added sulphur. A translucent, bright crimson red in the glass. The bouquet is delicate, with a lovely purity to the fresh fruit notes with a light tinge of spice and hibiscus. I gave this a light chill – the palate emerging soft and textured, although there is plenty of zip to the acidity once it gets going and warms slightly. Whispery tannins and a touch of pepper to the back of the palate. A pure and elegant expression. 92pts
