An interesting take on Giesen’s best selling Riesling – this with an addition of syrah to give it a rosé colour. An inviting floral nose, with elderflower and redcurrant lifting from the glass. A mouth-watering palette of fresh lime zest, chamomile, raspberry to the fore, and then a hint of ginger. The texture is luscious and rounded – the bright acidity cut with an off-dry richness that play beautifully off each other. The finish has a subtle watermelon sweetness and a slight salinity to it. Downed with ease amongst an antipasto platter, this a lovely aperitif wine – and only 10% alcohol – bonus!
