A white wine from this organic, family-run producer in Hawke’s Bay – and winner of a Gold Medal at NZIWS in 2025. A pale lemon-green colour in the glass. The bouquet has a varietally-pure beginning, with aromas of pear, apple pie, honey, lemon and weetbix. Well-structured with a fine balance of fruit tannin, clean acidity and a peppery spice. The all-important texture kicks in mid-palate with a wax and lanolin character that, again, speaks of the variety. Plenty of juice but has a dry finish with excellent length. 93pts
