From a single vineyard overlooking Lake Dunstan in the sub-region of Bendigo, Central Otago. A slightly opaque burgundy-purple colour in the glass. The bouquet is compact and elegant, with whispers of cherry, plum, blood orange, cranberry and more savoury aspects of thyme, peat, incense and rose petals. The palate is dry, medium-bodied and showcases a crisp acidity, accenting the fruit, with a zing of energy and direction. The tannin profile is fine with a chalky grip that is deftly woven in, adding spine. A seam of minerality runs the length of the palate, into a well-rounded finish with good persistence. 93pts
