An organic white wine from Gisborne – a region famous for the varietal. A pale greenish gold in the glass. There is oak here – vanilla, baking spice, wheat biscuit, peach, citrus and lemon blossom show in the perfume. The palate has weight and opulence to match the bouquet. It is very spicy, with some fruit tannin adding to the prick on the tongue. A lovely plushness to the fruit that suits the style. The finish is slightly drier, with a touch of pithyness to it, and has a rich, well-rounded length. 90pts
