A single vineyard wine, from a hectare of vines that capture the last of the days sunlight in Bannockburn, Central Otago. A bright, pale straw colour in the glass. The perfume has ripeness and piquancy, with red apple, lemon, ginger, peach and lime zest. Carrying a little residual sweetness, the palate is off-dry. A backbone of acidity balances the plush fruit, and quartzy minerality encircles the juice, adding complexity and depth. The finish is drier, with a spicy, waxy mouthfeel at the finale. 91pts
